Dave Doucette

Dave is the engine behind Daviki's procurement results. With nearly 30 years working in building materials and interior finishing — as a salesman, department manager, and procurement lead — he understands the industry from every angle.

His greatest professional achievement was becoming the #1 salesman at Timbertown Building Centre — a 45-year-old company with $60M in annual revenue — within just 4 years of joining. The network he built over nearly three decades is the core of what Daviki delivers for clients.

Career Timeline

1997

First step into building supply

Joined Feldman Timber in Timmins, ON. With zero flooring experience, Dave took over the failing flooring department solo — and grew monthly sales 30% in 2 months.

2002

Joined Timbertown Building Centre

Moved to Edmonton and joined Timbertown. Within 4 years, became the #1 salesman at the 45-year-old, $60M-per-year company — through relationships, expertise, and relentless follow-through.

2010s

Built a network no one else has

Over two decades at Timbertown, Dave cultivated 200+ supplier relationships across Western Canada — not contacts, but real working partnerships that pick up when he calls.

2024

Procurement Manager, TBL Developments

Took on a Procurement Manager role for a major residential development, delivering $600K–$1M in verified savings through supplier negotiations and strategic purchasing.

2026

Co-founded Daviki Systems

Partnered with Serge to bring nearly 30 years of procurement expertise to builders and developers across Western Canada as an independent service.

Co-Founder & Technology Lead

Serge Byusa

Serge is the strategic and technical co-founder of Daviki Systems. With a background spanning software engineering, AI, entrepreneurship, and real estate technology, he brings the systems thinking and business structure that turn Dave's deep industry expertise into a scalable, professional firm.

An MSc Computer Science candidate specialising in AI and an experienced software and product engineer, Serge leads Daviki's technology roadmap — including the procurement intelligence SaaS platform currently in development.

He is also a founder and developer of real estate platforms serving markets in Canada and East Africa, bringing a global entrepreneurial perspective to Daviki's growth strategy.
